LumaHope Foundation

Refund Policy

A clear and respectful process for contribution errors and unauthorized transactions.

Effective September 1, 2026
✓

Charitable contributions are generally final

Contributions may be allocated promptly to our charitable programs and operating needs. For that reason, we generally do not issue refunds for a change of mind.

When We Will Review a Request

We will review requests involving:

  • A duplicate contribution.
  • An incorrect amount entered by mistake.
  • A transaction the payment-account holder did not authorize.
  • A confirmed technical processing error.

Each request is considered individually. Submission of a request does not guarantee approval.

How to Request a Review

Please email admin@lumahopefoundation.com as soon as possible, preferably within 14 days of the transaction. Include:

  • The contributor’s full name and email address.
  • The contribution date and amount.
  • The Stripe receipt or transaction reference, if available.
  • A brief explanation of the issue.

For security, do not email a complete card or bank-account number.

Review and Processing

We may request reasonable information to verify the contributor and transaction. If approved, a refund will generally be sent to the original payment method. Processing times depend on Stripe, the contributor’s financial institution and applicable payment-network rules.

Unauthorized Transactions

If you believe a payment method was used without permission, contact us promptly and also notify the card issuer or financial institution. We may work with Stripe and relevant institutions to review the transaction.

Designated Contributions

If a stated program cannot be carried out as described, LumaHope Foundation may apply funds to a substantially similar charitable purpose or another area of greatest need, to the extent permitted by law and consistent with any restriction expressly accepted by the Foundation.
